Women

Women’s Evening Group
The Women’s Evening Group, affectionately known as “the WEGS” is a long-running church group.  The founding members originally met in the evenings, after their husbands had come home and their children had gone to bed.  These ladies are now grandmothers and great-grandmothers and meet during the day.  For many years, they ran a monthly stall selling handcraft items.  That was  interrupted by coronavirus, but the ladies are still producing lovely items and making jams, which are available at the annual Fete and other times.

Op Shop Crew
Much of the Op Shop crew is female.  This group works Tuesday and Thursday mornings, sorting and pricing the massive amount of donations received, then working the twice-monthly sales.  A few of the church ladies bake for the morning tea held in the Crypt during the sales, which serves as our “food court”.

Bible Study
We have a Women’s Bible Study Group, currently meeting at the church Wednesdays at 4:00PM.

Sidesmen
The position of sidesman is open to ladies as well as gentlemen.  Sidesmen provide a vital service before, during and after worship services.

Choir
There is room in the choir stalls for additional singers at the 8:00AM and 9:30AM Sunday morning services.  Speak to the Music Director.

Flower Guild
We have some talented ladies arranging our altar flowers each week and would welcome more.  Training provided.  Note that the job is not limited to females only .

Sunday Morning Tea Providers
There is a roster of folks providing refreshments for morning tea after the 9:30AM service.  Some do it with friends, some with their spouses or children.
