At St. John’s, we believe in building and maintaining supportive and nurturing community from the very youngest to the oldest.   As church and communion are best experienced with others, you are encouraged to attend services and events in person.

During COVID-19 restrictions, St. John’s clergy and staff developed new ways of keeping close connections with our community.  Many of the connections developed are ongoing, such as Thursday evening Bible Study via Zoom, and the live-streaming of our 9:30AM Sunday service each week.  We have also revitalised St John’s FACEBOOK PAGE and encourage you to visit it regularly.

Although our playgroup 儿童乐园  is currently on hiatus, we participate in the school Scripture Education Program at Gordon East Public School.

The Op Shop is also an important part of the St. John’s community; Op Shop Sale Days are typically held the second and last Saturdays of every month.

St John’s offers ESL / English as a Second Language and conversation classes to those who are native speakers of Mandarin or Cantonese.  Led by Bowen Lau, these classes are taught remotely over Zoom on Thursday afternoons.  Please contact the church office if you or someone you know would benefit from this.

One of our main goals is to ensure the people around us know that we are here during their time of need.
