Pastoral Care by Lay Persons

When the opportunity arises we have parishioners available to help those in need.  This could be to:

• Provide a cooked meal to someone who is ill
• Supply clothing from our Op Shop in  cases of need
• Take an elderly or disabled person shopping when they are unable to make it on their own
• Visit a sick person in hospital or at home
• If church attendance is prevented by illness or frailty, arrange for Communion in the home
• Provide recommendations and links to qualified crisis or bereavement counselling
• Provide relief from simple domestic chores in needy situations
