The historic, spacious and central setting of St John’s church complex makes it an ideal location to host a celebratory occasion or an indoor sporting or artistic event.
St John’s parish halls are available for hire on a regular basis or for single occasions to approved organisations or groups, subject to production of a current public liability insurance certificate.
Stair lifts, accessible from the entrance to the halls off the upper carpark at the rear of the church, give easy access to the War Memorial Hall and the Upper Room.
Note that limited car parking is available in the church grounds.

The large hall comfortably seats 200 and has a full-width stage accessible from the floor of the hall, as well as from the side and rear of the stage itself. Current hiring fees are:
- For regular hire – $16 per hour, GST inclusive
- For casual hire
“one off” hirings – $27 per hour, GST inclusive
between 2 and 10 hirings per annum – $21.50 per hour, GST inclusive
Terms on which the hall may be hired for an event, such as a social function, are available upon request.
